Our Leatherette coffer box is well suited for storing Club Sized Chessmen (4.2 to 4.5 inch king size). The inner side of the box has been felted with a beautiful orange Felt. The cloth is soft and prevents any damage to the chess pieces. Also the trays have been crafted so that they are able to store chessmen of varying heights and base diameters.

Craftsmanship is top-notch, other than the clasp. If the clasp fails, the pieces go flying, and the clasp is the weak link. Design and size of the case are its main features. The interior is high quality. I love having a proper home for my valued chess pieces at last. They were stored in a re-purposed cardboard box with bits and pieces of tissue paper and bubble wrap.
