This is one of those chess sets that people notice the moment they walk into the room. The metal pieces have a satisfying weight, the detailing is crisp, and the board has a rich decorative finish. It works just as well as a statement décor piece as it does for playing.
Perfection, touch and feel of the weight is a different world experience. Although I would have preferred alternate colour on bishops top instead of same opponents colour. Now thinking whether I can change it with original craftsmanship!

I've been using this set for 3 months now. The pieces are a rare and perfect combination of form and function. They are weighted quite a bit, making their centre of gravity is quite low and with wide bases, toppling these pieces is very difficult. The knight is the highlight with it's carefully crafted mane and instantly recognisable silhouette. The feel of those splits enhances the tactile feedback from a move to an experience. And I'm not exaggerating either. The rook and the bishop are well crafted with good feel and size. The king and queen are amazing. Not flashy but regal and royal. The pawns are probably the most overlooked part of any set. But here, almost every e4 e5 opening will not just be a start to the game, it'll be an initiation of battle. They are heavy, well crafted and the tactile experience is otherworldly. Overall it's a perfect set. The board is standard 21x21 inch. The squares complement the size of the pieces. I just wish the board was customizable, I'd have ordered an elevated board with matte finish instead. But I really enjoy playing on this one as well.
The 23″ bag fits the board perfectly and feels well-padded and sturdy. The zippers are smooth, the handles are strong, and it makes carrying a premium board safe and easy. Very practical for storage and transport.

The carving on the knights is impressive, and the pieces have a nice, steady weight. Everything feels solid and well-made on the board, with the knights especially standing out and feeling premium in hand.

Using this chess set from few weeks now. Mostly evening time, sometimes at home, sometimes in nearby park with friends. Board is solid, once you keep it on bench or table, it doesn’t move much.
Pieces are nicely balanced and don’t fall easily, even when playing outside. After game, all pieces go back inside the drawers, so no tension of losing anything. I’m using it normally, not handling very carefully, still it’s in good condition. Feels like a chess set made for playing, not just for show.
This set is price-wise at the lower end but feels completely premium—chess now feels like a whole new game. It has a unique design, it stands out and yet you can clearly identify the pieces while at play. The squat shape makes it extra-stable and because of this, it can fit perfectly in 17 to 21 inch boards. Overall, one of the best choices here.

Couldn’t be any happier! As per usual, my pieces came well packaged and pristine. I have several sets from RCM and all of them are unique and such a pleasure to play on. This set in particular, is my favourite to play with. Generously weighted, well balanced and very streamlined. The Kings stand tall and proud. Queens are robust and feel powerful. The Bishops are sleek yet sneaky. The Knights are well detailed, and really fit in the fingers perfectly and of course the rooks are stalky, they pack a punch when attacking. Each piece is designed perfectly and feels like each piece compliments each other. What a joy to move them around. Generously sized bases, wonderful detail, “chunky” would best describe them yet effortless to manoeuvre. I will say that they are even more spectacular in person then in photos. Absolutely perfect, well done RCM and all that work for you. I couldn’t be any happier! You know we’ll be purchasing from you again. Until next time.
