A really fantastic chessboard perfect in every way ,just a superb looking chessboard no matter what chess pieces you are using ebony,bud rosewood, rosewood and sheasham

Looks beautiful, but...

On the positive side, great service handling my order with fast shipping. Packaging excellent.
Got this board to go with my beautiful 4.6" Columbian Chess Pieces.
But I am disappointed with this board. Got the impression that this was made of solid wood.
It has good visual appeal and appears well finished.
But it has a cheap backing board with veneered squares obviously glued onto it.
Even the edges show clearly that there is a thin strip glued onto the thicker edging strip.
I feel that for the price it should be better quality.
My 4.6" Columbian Chess Pieces (which are superb) deserve a better board. I´ll have to look for one.

Arrived well packed and in perfect shape - beautiful!

You can see small imperfections when they put the wood together and there were gaps in it. So they put small pieces of dark wood in the gaps
