Our French Lardy chess pieces are a precise reproduction of the ever popular chess sets from the French Manufacturers Lardy.
These sets were quite popular in 1960's due to their sturdy design. They conform to the staunton proportions and have no sharp , protruding edges making them a pleasure to hold and play with. Durable in their construction, they are designed to withstand the rigours of practical play.
If you are looking for a standard tournament set for daily play, go for this set, you will not regret it.

Fantastic set. Truly fantastic. Nice weight, beautiful wood. Mine had a small, small chip in the knight, but I don’t mind. It gives it character.

Great pieces, great weight and feel. These come individually wrapped so that there was no damage in transit. The pieces are good size and great quality, I will not be looking at getting any other pieces as these are just right.
