Wide Bases and sleek tops consistent in king, queen, and bishop make it a fresh change from the traditional Staunton chess set & Staunton chess pieces. Knights are unusually large with their manes only on one side. The pieces have been double-weighted using a combination of iron and lead studs to improve their playability on the chess board.
