Very beautiful and heavy pieces
I purchased these during the 2022 Father's Day sale, and I'm so glad I did! The price was more than fair, and the pieces were neatly and meticulously packaged and protected. The pieces themselves are great! The woodworking is simply stunning and the triple weight makes these an absolute pleasure to move around my wooden chess board. Although these aren't the 50's version of the set legend Bobby Fischer said were his favorite, they are much heavier than the reproduced 50's set featured on this site and others, and - in my opinion - just as beautiful. They seem to be one of the heaviest set of pieces you purchase on this site in the $150-$170 price range. They also arrived in a week or two despite the origin destination being on the other side of the planet. All in all, it has been an absolute pleasure ordering from this site, and I can't wait to make another purchase from this wonderful chess site!
I was sent the wrong sent at first, but within a few hours of contacting the supplier they responded very willing to help. Was immediately set the correct set I purchased. The pieces come packaged incredibly protected and are well crafted, matching the description. The extra queen is always a huge bonus too.

Using this chess set from few weeks now. Mostly evening time, sometimes at home, sometimes in nearby park with friends. Board is solid, once you keep it on bench or table, it doesn’t move much.
Pieces are nicely balanced and don’t fall easily, even when playing outside. After game, all pieces go back inside the drawers, so no tension of losing anything. I’m using it normally, not handling very carefully, still it’s in good condition. Feels like a chess set made for playing, not just for show.
