I will admit, that I was skeptical because there was no reviews. But this is one of the best purchases I have made this year. The pieces have a nice weight and they are beautifully crafted. I was supposed to receive it by August, but arrived in less than a week. I will buy again from ROYALCHESSMALL.

The pieces are good aside the knight that was built in two pieces (base + head) and also seems a little bit bumpy
Very nice, handcrafted figures and delivery faster than anounced.
One of the extra queens came with a slightly out of place weight, making it a bit wobbly, which I wasn't very happy about.
However, that doesn't take away from the beauty of these pieces and the fact that they arrived on time and safely packaged. The pawns are very small, but elegant. There is a clear contrast in size between the pawns and the other pieces. Overall, I'm happy to have bought this and to own yet another reproduced set of Soviet chess pieces. Thank you RCM :)

The quality of craftsmanship is superb, and the weight feels just right in your hand. However, one minor complaint is that the Black King’s top spire (which is white) has a couple of black spots. Otherwise, everyone is satisfactory!
Elegant, slender design and a very nice weight to every piece. A beautifully crafted chess set with one spare queen of both colours. There is one minor flaw, being that one of the white queens has a slightly uneven base resulting in not standing as stable as the rest of the pieces.
The 23″ bag fits the board perfectly and feels well-padded and sturdy. The zippers are smooth, the handles are strong, and it makes carrying a premium board safe and easy. Very practical for storage and transport.

The carving on the knights is impressive, and the pieces have a nice, steady weight. Everything feels solid and well-made on the board, with the knights especially standing out and feeling premium in hand.

Using this chess set from few weeks now. Mostly evening time, sometimes at home, sometimes in nearby park with friends. Board is solid, once you keep it on bench or table, it doesn’t move much.
Pieces are nicely balanced and don’t fall easily, even when playing outside. After game, all pieces go back inside the drawers, so no tension of losing anything. I’m using it normally, not handling very carefully, still it’s in good condition. Feels like a chess set made for playing, not just for show.
