Chess Pieces:- The original Dubrovnik Set was made in the fifties and sixties in the renowned master carver Jakopović's workshop. These are the pieces that Bobby Fischer proclaimed his favourite, this is the chess set that we can see him analyze with in various documentaries and photographs. He famously said ," I think it's the best chess set I've ever played on. It's just a joy to play with, a joy to hold, the definition of the pieces, the design, … it's just a marvelous set, but it's very hard to get, I don't have it."

Storage Box:- Our Leatherette coffer box is well suited for storing Chessmen of (3.5 to 4.1 inch king size). The inner side of the box has been felted with a beautiful felt. The cloth is soft and prevents any damage to the chess pieces. Also the trays have been crafted so that they are able to store chessmen of varying heights and base diameters.

Using this chess set from few weeks now. Mostly evening time, sometimes at home, sometimes in nearby park with friends. Board is solid, once you keep it on bench or table, it doesn’t move much.
Pieces are nicely balanced and don’t fall easily, even when playing outside. After game, all pieces go back inside the drawers, so no tension of losing anything. I’m using it normally, not handling very carefully, still it’s in good condition. Feels like a chess set made for playing, not just for show.
